What is the Gabby Method?

A training method to convert English knowledge into speaking skills

マッスルメモリートレーニング、ライブコーチングセッション

Through the combination of Muscle Memory Training using the Gabby app※1, and one on one Live Sessions with your own personal native coach※2, the Gabby Method fosters the development of the user’s “English brain (brain to think in English)”, allowing them to speak English naturally in a short period of time.

※1 Web App, supported on PC/Mobile, unlimited access

What is Muscle Memory Training?

Practicing scales repeatedly on the piano until you can smoothly play the piece without even thinking about it.
Or repeated batting practices until you can quickly react and hit any ball thrown to you.
Both are forms of muscle memory training that reinforce the connection between your mind and body through repetition.
Gabby takes this tested principle and applies it to English speaking ability acquisition.
It is a tool to activate your brain and build up English muscle memory through the app’s unlimited self-training and online coaching.

How can I start speaking in a second language?

Languages are not truly “spoken” until grammar rules are organized in one’s Broca’s area and the recalling mechanism for knowledge (words and phrases) - accumulated as long-term memory - are fully operated and vocalized.
At Gabby, we call this process as developing English muscle memory. We provide a curriculum that efficiently integrates this process through the app.

The key to building English muscle memory is in self-training!

Just like sports activities, you can lose a lot of progress with just a day of skipped training.
Daily 5 or 10 minute sessions of self training goes a long way in further developing your English muscle memory!

Muscle memory raises your level of communication by activating your linguistic skills!

Do I only get to learn how to use the phrases taught in Gabby?
No, the various English muscle memories developed through training will eventually be combined and applied into new sentences in your brain. Additionally, the use of English muscle memory would allow your brain to put less effort in speaking English and instead focus on improving your level of communication by improving the quality of one's comments, or by choosing a manner of speech that is empathetic to others.
